Assembly & Test Worldwide (ATW) has a long history with applying Cold Test technology to engine test, dating back to the mid 1970's.  With over 200 Cold Test Stands operational worldwide ATW has been able to consistently satisfy its customers with Engine Cold Test solutions capable of detecting manufacturing defects including those not visible through standard Hot Test technology.

Cold Test technology has seen several advances throughout the years in data acquisition, data analysis, and real time wave form analysis. Consequently this has resulted in further fault detection capabilities with increased reliability and repeatability.  Standardization and reuse of this engineering process has allowed ATW to consistently increase the value of its cold test offering and remain at the forefront of the industry.

With the advancement of Noise, Vibration, and Harshness testing, Cold Test has taken new direction. Patented driveline designs and accelerometer probes allow ATW’s cold test system to test even more fault conditions than previously possible. Mechanical design techniques including 3-D and Finite Element analysis allow ATW to design state of the art structures that lend themselves to a stable vibration detection environment.

Bringing Cold Test to an international market place has been a major focus by ATW in the last 5 years, offering customers worldwide the advantages of state of the art engine test capability.  From North and South America to Europe to Asia to Australia, ATW Cold Test solutions remain the most technologically advanced, highest value engine testing solutions in the world.
